What we are all about...How many times do you stand there watching the cars go by, generally freezing to death and you hear someone behind you chirp up the phrase "It's not like in the good old days"?? This is probably one of the most overused, inaccurate phrases around today, it's a bit like an "acquired taste", you know that when you try it you are not going to like it!! Similarly "The old days" are never as good as we remember them........or are they? A group of people (us by the way) who remember "The old days" of the RAC Rally of Great Britain have got together to recreate what was the last great rallying adventure to be had in this country, to capture, today, the feel of the rally when it was in it's heyday of the 70's. We all acknowledge that the WRC had to change, remember the crowd trouble in Portugal and Monte Carlo for instance? but we are certain that there is still a place in British Motorsport for such an event. The event is a four day around Britain Rally in November visiting such places as Kielder, Grizedale, Dalby and Penmachno. In an attempt to keep down the costs it is a secret rally so no practicing or pacenotes are allowed, service cars and vans are limited but above all it pays homage to "The old days" Interested? We are looking for all types of people to help with the event, competitors, sponsors, officials, marshals, spectators and many more, even if you only have a passing interest (if so how come you read this far?) please register that interest by e-mailing us (see contacts page).
