Reconnaissance

The procedures for the recce on this year's event have been change to attempt to limit the size of the queues that have traditionally formed at the start of the first special stage on each day and the subsequent bunching of cars on the stage.

This year Cars 1-50 will recce the stages in a different order to cars 51 onwards. The time schedule for each stage is listed in the event regulations. Whilst this means that each stage will have to stay open longer the flow of traffic through each stage should be easier to manage.

In addition to this change the locations where the major teams set up their service vans are to be controlled this year to avoid the problems caused in recent years by service vans setting up close to the exit of a stage, sometimes in PR sensitive areas.
