General Objectives of the Association

    1. To provide member clubs with information, assistance, advice and access to training on matters of motor sport.
    2.  

    3. To enable member clubs to represent their views concerning motor sport in the region, and on issues relating to clubmen nationally, so that an agreed Association view may be presented to the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association and to national / local government officers responsible for sport.

    5. To encourage motor sport by the promotion of Championships and good public relations.
    6.  

    7. To secure or retain temporary and permanent access to land and facilities for motor sport use, seeking the assistance of other agencies as appropriate.
    8.  

    9. To maintain an environment in which the Association, clubs, event organisers and competitors can succeed in securing financial support from commercial sponsors and exceptionally through government grant aiding.
    10.  

    11. To work with the Sports Council and other Regional Associations in the production, maintenance and implementation of motor sports development plans.
    12.  

    13. To actively administer the Association’s routine business by maintaining an up-to-date information database of member clubs their representatives, event dates and championship contenders.
