The event, held during MCAC's club night is intended to give novices and others, especially those new to the Championship a little help with the type of navigation likely to be encountered during the year. As well as covering the basic principles, the organisers (all 5-Maps event organisers) will be happy to explain more complicated problems if asked, and can even help with any navigation that has caused problems on previous events. As well as this crews will be able to get advice on more general matters such as event tactics and good 'housekeeping'.
